Feb 4, 2026 | 12:18 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings inside Co-op Place for a heavyweight Central Division tilt that concludes a three-game homestand for the Tabbies.

The meeting marks the sixth of eight divisional match-ups between the Oil Kings and Tigers this season, with the Tigers holding a 3-1-0-1 record against their divisional foe.

Their most recent meeting took place on January 16th when the Tigers dispatched of the Oil Kings 7-3 in the final win of their 19-game win streak.

Since that defeat, the Oil Kings have not been able to string together consecutive wins, having won just three of their last six games.

The Tabbies have mirrored the results of their divisional rivals, also having won three of their last six.

Medicine Hat holds a five-point lead on Edmonton in the race for top spot in the Central Division, with both clubs having played 48 games.

Both clubs have been battling injury troubles as of late.

The Tigers have been without their captain and leading goal-scorer, Bryce Pickford, for their last four games and remains listed day-to-day with an upper body injury.

The Oil Kings, in turn, have been without their leading goal-scorer, Miroslav Holinka, who has also been listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury.

Including Holinka, Edmonton has six full-time skaters listed on the injury report.

Medicine Hat will aim to capitalize on an injury-riddled Oil Kings squad tonight and extend their lead atop the Central Division.

Puck drop from Co-op Place is slated for 7:00 p.m. MST.

The pre-game show gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
