Brooks RCMP charge a man with criminal harassment and mischief

Jan 29, 2026 | 10:33 AM

A 25-year-old Brooks man, Brian Woodman, faces charges of criminal harassment and mischief and has been arrested by Brooks RCMP following an investigation into incidents affecting a resident.

Police said the charges are specifically related to obstructing the resident’s use and enjoyment of her property.

Woodman has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Brooks on Feb. 18, 2026.

Brooks RCMP said they began an investigation on Dec. 10, 2025, after an electrician was called to a residence experiencing frequent power outages and, upon arrival, observed that the unit’s power had been manually switched off.

The electrician reported unusual behaviour from the property representative at the scene, prompting him to make a report.

Brooks RCMP continues to take reports of harassment and property interference seriously and encourages the public to report similar issues by calling 310-RCMP.
