Tigers in Moose Jaw to battle Warriors in final road game before Christmas

Dec 5, 2025 | 10:06 AM

After having played 14 of their last 19 games on the road, the Medicine Hat Tigers (17-6-3-2) head to Moose Jaw tonight to take on the Warriors (12-12-1-1) in their final road game until December 27th.

The meeting serves as the first of four this season between Moose Jaw and Medicine Hat, all of which come over the next month and a half.

Medicine Hat enters on a nine-game point streak and a five-game winning streak, most recently including a pair of wins over the third-ranked team in the CHL Power Rankings, the Prince Albert Raiders.

Over their last three games, the Tigers have combined for 19 goals from ten separate skaters.

Amidst that span, Tigers defensemen Jonas Woo and Bryce Pickford, who sit first and second in points by Western Hockey League defensemen, have compiled 7 goals and 16 points between the pair.

Defensively, the Tigers have been sound, having allowed three goals against or fewer in each of their last four games.

Meanwhile, Moose Jaw enters, aiming to gain ground in a jam-packed middle of the East Division.

The Warriors currently sit four points back of the second-placed Saskatoon Blades, and hold two games in hand, but have the red-hot Brandon Wheat Kings nipping on their heels, just a single point behind Moose Jaw.

First-round pick of the Washington Capitals, Lynden Lakovic, has powered the Warriors’ offense this season, leading the team in goals with 18, and points with 29, but is out of the lineup, listed week-to-week with an injury.

The Tigers will be tasked with slowing down a Lakovic-less Moose Jaw squad and a Warriors power play that enters ranked third best in the WHL if they want to extend their win streak to six games.

Puck drop from Moose Jaw is slated for 6:00 p.m. MST, and the pre-game show gets underway on WILD 94.5 FM at 5:45.
