Leader RCMP continue to investigate suspicious business fire

RCMP continue to investigate a suspicious fire that destroyed a business in Leader, Sask.

As part of the investigation, officers have collected and analyzed evidence, including video footage showing a suspect arriving at the business, breaking in, and leaving in a dark-coloured SUV.

The vehicle strongly resembles a Jeep but may be another SUV with a similar appearance.

On October 26, 2025, at about 2:40 a.m., Leader RCMP received a report of a structure fire at a business on First Avenue in Leader.

Officers and local firefighters responded; however, the business was destroyed.

Mounties engaged fire investigators with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency to assist with determining the cause and origin of the fire.

Leader RCMP are now asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and the SUV captured in the video.

Officers continue to investigate the fire and ask that members of the public report information about any suspicious people or vehicles they observed in and around Leader, including the SUV in the video, during the early morning hours of Oct. 26.
