Tigers start four-in-five on winning note, topple Hitmen 6-2

The Medicine Hat Tigers kicked off their busiest stretch of the season in winning fashion with a 6-2 victory against the Calgary Hitmen.

Their offense was led by Kadon McCann and Markus Ruck, who each potted a pair of goals, while Kade Stengrim and Josh Van Mulligen added singles.

Tigers captain Bryce Pickford added a pair of assists for his eighth multi-point game of the season.

Keaton Jundt and Luc Trevors each scored their third goals of the season for Calgary, generating their only offense of the night.

Hitmen starting netminder Eric Tu was pulled two minutes into the third period after allowing his fifth goal of the night on 26 shots.

Aiden Hesse stopped ten of 11 in relief for Calgary.

Tigers netminder Carter Casey turned aside 26 of 28 Hitmen shots in the win.

The Tabbies are off Thursday before commencing their lone three-in-three of the season on Friday in Red Deer, before closing it out with back-to-backs against Calgary.
