Fresh off being named Western Hockey League Player of the Week, Medicine Hat Tigers forward Liam Ruck has been named to Team CHL for the upcoming CHL-USA Prospects Challenge.

Ruck will be replacing Brooks Rogowski (OHL) who will be out due to injury.

Liam has started his sophomore season in the WHL off strong, tied for third on the Tigers in scoring with 21 points and second in assists with 14.

Ruck had a stellar rookie campaign netting 25 goals, the most among WHL rookies last season.

Liam, alongside his twin brother Markus, were both named to NHL Central Scouting Preliminary rankings with a B-Grade, indicating a potential second to third round draft selection.

Liam Ruck will not be the lone Tiger representative at the challenge, Medicine Hat Tigers Head Coach and General Manager Willie Desjardins will serve as the Head Coach for Team CHL for the two game tournament.

The CHL-USA Prospects Challenge takes place Tuesday, November 25th in Calgary and Wednesday, November 26th in Lethbridge.
