Nov 17, 2025 | 2:30 PM

Medicine Hat Tigers second-year forward Liam Ruck was named this week’s Western Hockey League Player of the Week following a six point in two game performance this past weekend.

Ruck had a career-high four-point game Friday night against the Regina Pats, factoring in on all four Tiger goals including an assist on Kyle Heger’s overtime winner to snap a four-game winless streak for the club.

Liam Ruck currently sits tied for third on the Tigers in scoring with 21 points and is second amongst all forwards in goals with seven.

His twin brother Markus is tied for the team lead in points with 22.

Liam Ruck and the Tigers will look to build on a successful weekend this week as they get set for their busiest week of the entire regular season, playing four games in five nights, beginning Wednesday night in Calgary.

Puckdrop from the Scotiabank Saddledome is slated for 7:00 p.m MST and the pre-game show gets underway at 6:45 on WILD 94.5 FM.
