Tigers aiming to avenge last Saturday’s loss to Wheat Kings

Nov 15, 2025 | 12:00 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are back on the road tonight as they battle the Brandon Wheat Kings for the second time in under a week.

The two clubs tangoed inside Co-op Place last Saturday night, and the Wheat Kings would score four unanswered goals in the third period to pull away with a 7-4 victory.

Understandably, that left a bad taste in the Tigers’ mouths who enter tonight following their first win of November, a 4-3 overtime victory in Regina.

Brandon has been off since Tuesday, when they suffered a 7-4 loss of their own at the hands of the Red Deer Rebels.

Chase Surkan will face the Tigers for the first time this season after missing last Saturday’s game away at the U17 World Hockey Championships.

The Medicine Hat Tigers will remain without both Niilopekka Muhonen and Veeti Vaisanen on the blueline.

Muhonen has been listed as week-to-week, while Vaisanen is day-to-day but did not make the trip to Brandon.

On a positive front, Tigers defenseman Jonas Woo enters riding a five-game goal streak, leading all Western Hockey League defensemen in goals with 11.

Puckdrop from Assiniboine Credit Union Place is slated for 5:00 p.m. MST with the pre-game show getting underway at 4:45 p.m on WILD 94.5 FM.
