Albertans can now give feedback on provincial budget

Nov 14, 2025 | 4:55 PM

Albertans can now give direct feedback on the provincial government’s budget.

The 2026 budget survey closes Jan. 15, and can be found here.

Folks can also participate in a telephone town hall hosted by President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance Nate Horner on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. More details are at the above link.

“We want to hear from Albertans across the province. Alberta’s government is working hard to create a budget that makes practical fiscal decisions and spends taxpayer dollars wisely,” says Horner.

“Our goal is to support Albertans’ priorities and meet the needs of our growing province.”

Alberta’s budget must be released before the end of February each year, the province notes.

Last year, just over 19,000 people participated in the 2025 budget telephone town hall, with 355 comments submitted. Over 6,500 Albertans took part in last year’s survey.

More than 100 written submissions from not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, chambers of commerce and individual Albertans were also received.
