Medicine Hat Police seek witnesses after collision involving motorcycle and van in cities northwest on Thursday

Medicine Hat Police are looking for witnesses after a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Box Springs Road Northwest and Saamis Drive Northwest on Thursday at about 1:44 p.m.

Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the collision involving injuries where a 62-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling north on Box Springs Road NW when a 23-year-old female driving a van, heading southbound, attempted to turn left onto Saamis Drive NW.

Police said the van turned in front of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision where the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver and passenger of the van suffered minor injuries.
