Mounties release and rearrest individuals after raid of former school site in Richmound

Saskatchewan RCMP released those who where arrested early Wednesday morning in Richmound, Sask. after the 24 hours they had to either lay charges or bring them before the courts.

Included was self-proclaimed, “Queen of Canada” Romana Didulo and individuals associated with her, who have taken over the former school site in the community.

Her followers set up a “Kingdom of Canada” compound in the building in 2023, but there was a raid there yesterday after police learned of someone possessing a gun.

At about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Mounties executed a search warrant at the property and arrested 16 adults, 10 inside the building, five in RV’s, and one outside a home in the community.

During the search of the property, officers located and seized 13 imitation semi-automatic handguns, ammunition, as well as a large number of electronic devices.

This evidence is currently being examined by investigators.

Following the release of the 16 arrested individuals police custody, an adult male and female were rearrested.

No charges have been formally laid against any of the arrested individuals at this time.

The investigation continues.

Many in the village near Medicine Hat have complained about the group being disruptive.
