Brooks Bandits BCHL playoff series shifts to West Kelowna

The Brooks Bandits will continue their first round BCHL playoff match up with a pair of games against the Warriors in West Kelowna.

Splitting the first two game at the Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks this past weekend, the Bandits where upset in game one Friday 4-2, but rebounded with a huge 8-2 win on Saturday in game two.

Games three and four are on the road Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. each night. The series will then shift back to Brooks for game five on Friday.

Former Medicine Hat Tigers netminder Zach Zahara, has played the first two games of the series for the Bandits.

The Bandits offensive attack has been balanced with the teams 10 goals coming from eight different players, and 14 players registering one or more point.

The Interior Conference’s second seed Bandits are favoured to beat the seventh seed Warriors, having won three of four regular season meetings.

During the regular season the Bandits had 40 wins, 10 losses, two overtime losses and two shutout losses over 54 games.

The Warriors finished with 23 wins, 24 losses, five overtime losses and 2 shootout loses.
