Albertans will join much of North America this weekend in adjusting their clocks to reflect the arrival of Daylight Savings Time.

🛻 Monsters and Mayhem 2025

Monster trucks are returning to Medicine Hat.

Monsters and Mayhem is on at Co-op Place. The first show is at 7 p.m. on Friday and the second is Saturday at 1 p.m.

Those who arrive early can get monster truck rides and meet the stars at the free pit party.

The Straight Up Racing team, captained by former world champion Rockstar, features fan favorites like California Kid, Identity Theft and Spitfire – who debuted last time Monsters and Mayhem was in Medicine Hat in 2023, organizers say.

The action is non-stop at Monsters and Mayhem with even more Freestyle Motocross riders than before, according to an event description.

🛍 The tradeshow

The 2025 Home and Leisure Tradeshow is on from Friday to Sunday.

The tradeshow features a diverse array of businesses, showcasing the best products, services and technologies the region has to offer, organizers say.

🥂 Bread and Roses Gala

The 11th annual Bread and Roses Gala, a fundraiser for the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society, is taking place Saturday.

Doors of the Medicine Hat Lodge Ballroom open at 5 p.m.

Throughout the event there will be a sparkling wine reception, silent auction, guest speaker, live auction, and dance with live music, according to an event description.

Tickets are $125 per individual or $960 for a table of eight people.

🧩 Meeples at the library

The Medicine Hat Public Library is hosting board games for enthusiasts and casual players alike on March 8 at 1 p.m.

Games will be provided by the MHPL.

The library also welcomes attendees to bring their own favourite board games to play, and introduce others to.

🦁Cubs Hockey

The Medicine Hat Cubs are in the South Finals of the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

Game two of the series will be at the Kinplex One Arena on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 12-17, seniors, and Medicine Hat College students, free for 12-year old and younger.

🏒Minor Hockey

The Medicine Hat Hounds U13 AA team is hosting the AEHL South Division playoffs.

Games started on Thursday and will run through Sunday at rinks throughout Medicine Hat.
