Here is what’s on in Medicine Hat and area this weekend: Feb. 21-23

Do you remember what it feels like to be warm outside?

Temperatures are on the rise and Medicine Hat is set to thaw out starting Friday. Environment Canada is calling for a high of 4 C on Friday, 7 C on Saturday and 8 C on Sunday.

🥣 Food and beverage expo

The Alberta Food and Beverage Expo is on in Medicine Hat this weekend.

Attendees are able to sample hundreds of wines, beers, delicious cocktails, and the best food from Medicine Hat’s best restaurants and local suppliers.

There will be over 120 vendors spread out over the Pavilion and Fieldhouse at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede grounds.

Pre-sale tickets are available for $22.50 online and are $25 at the door.

🐅 Two Tigers games

The Medicine Hat Tigers have back-to-back home games this weekend.

They play the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday and the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday.

Puck drop for both games is at 7 p.m.

Tune in for live coverage on Wild 94.5 radio starting at 6:30 p.m.

🎞 ‘Global Hearts, Global Art’

The Saamis Immigration Services Association is hosting a photography and visual storytelling experience that will showcase life through the eyes of newcomer youth.

The Global Hearts, Global Art Gallery is free to view.

It runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the association’s building on Fourth Avenue Southeast.

🏊‍♀️ Monthly free swim

The Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat sponsors a monthly free swim.

The next runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Big Marble Go Centre.

👣 Winter story walk

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program’s Winter StoryWalk program continues this weekend.

The Mitten — the walk’s book — is a traditional Ukrainian story.

The event is free and one of the only ones happening outdoors this weekend.

Participants are asked to head to Police Point Park at any time during business hours to get started.
