Nominations open for annual honorary Medicine Hat College degree

Nominations are now open for an annual honorary applied degree from Medicine Hat College.

The winning applicant will be acknowledged for their achievement and distinction in activities that align with the vision of the college, according to a news release.

The elements include scholarship, the advancement of learning, welfare and social responsibility, creativity and innovation, enterprise and public service.

All members of the public are invited to submit a nomination and all information submitted is confidential.

Nomination forms area available on the honorary degree page and are due by Jan. 31.

The selected candidate will be celebrated at the college’s annual convocation ceremony on June 13.

Last year’s recipient was Nicole Neubauer, the subject of a CHAT News series on the impacts of drought on farming.

Dr. Ken Sauer, Bill Yuill and Bob Wanner are among several other past winners.
