Medicine Hat’s city council is holding a closed committee-of-the-whole meeting Thursday evening to discuss an “energy business matter”.
No further details were given, as is standard for closed council sessions.
Closed meetings, known also as going “in-camera”, are permitted under Alberta’s Municipal Government Act for situations where a public meeting could be harmful to third party business interested, economic interests and several other reasons outlined in the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
