On Sept. 13, 2024, RCMP arrested Kyle Whitehorse, 26, of O’Chiese First Nation, who was subsequently charged with second-degree murder.

Whitehorse was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.

He is scheduled to appear in court next on Sept. 16, via CCTV, in Vegreville.

The second suspect, Bradley Jerome Jerry, a 33-year-old from Edmonton, is wanted on warrant.
