Students return to school on Tuesday, and the Medicine Hat Public System has updated it’s bus route maps in advance of the return to class.

There are 16 schools served by busses in the public system.

A link on the public school web site will direct you to the route for your child, showing the number of the bus, where it stops and the pickup and drop off times.

Bus passes will be delivered to schools in the first couple of weeks of classes, but students will have a grace period during the first two weeks of school and will not be turned away.

Parents can check on-line to see if their child has been registered for a bus pass.

When school starts on Tuesday, there will be some exceptions to the regular schedule that day for some students at Medicine Hat and Crescent Heights High Schools, as well as Alexandra Middle School and Dr Roy Wilson Learning Centre.

In the Prairie Rose School Division, drivers are familiarizing themselves with their routes this week and will be contacting parents to let them know when and where their child pick up and drop off locations will be.

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board says bus routes don’t change until after the first two weeks of school, and any modified maps will be published on September 23.
