Drag gala comes to Medicine Hat on Saturday

It will be a night full of entertainment, community spirit and charitable giving, organizers say.

The Imperial Sovereign Court of the Chinook Arch Social Association, a not-for-profit organization, is hosting the first annual local charity gala at Whiskey District on Saturday.

The Sunshine Trolley will pick up drag queens and entertainers at 5:30 p.m. from the Comfort Inn for a short tour.

The tour will make stops at Medalta Potteries and the iconic Tee Pee before arriving at the Whiskey District, where the event will get underway at 7:30 p.m.

The gala will kick off with a spectacular show, followed by a brick ceremony and silent auction at the midpoint.
