Medicine Hat Mavericks win crucial game to continue in semi-final series

The Medicine Hat Mavericks managed to stay alive in a divisional semi-final series with a win over the Saskatoon Berries on Thursday.

The Mavericks beat the Berries 3-0 on the road at Cairns Park, tying up the Western Canadian Baseball League Eastern Division semi-final matchup.

The Mavericks and Berries will face off in Medicine Hat’s Athletic Park on Friday to decide which team progresses to the divisional final.

Thursday’s win marks a rebound after a close 6-4 loss to the Saskatchewan team at Athletic Park on Wednesday.
