ASIRT, Medicine Hat police investigating Saturday shooting

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is working with the Medicine Hat Police Service to investigate a shooting at an apartment on Third Avenue Southwest.

The incident took place on Saturday when a 30-year-old-man discharged a firearm down a hallway near where his landlord was standing, according to the building owner.

Medicine Hat Police Services said in a statement on social media that the suspect and a number of officers were taken to hospital for injuries sustained in the incident.
