Hudson Schlinker wanted to help Christian Doll, the son of Wild 94.5’s program director Mike Doll.

“I just wanted to help out Christian and his family,” eight-year-old Hudson told CHAT News.

So, he set up a lemonade stand last week to raise money for the Christian Doll GoFundMe fundraiser. So far, he’s raised $735.

While Hudson didn’t know Christian personally, his mom has played volleyball with his sister in the past.

For Hudson, he was just happy to help “knowing it was for a good cause.”

His mother, Shaylene Seitz, said Hudson spent hours out in the sun.

“I am so beyond proud of him and what he did,” Seitz said.

“He toughed out the heat for nearly six hours with a smile on his face the whole time.”

Seitz got supplies and helped set up the stand, but Hudson did the rest, she said.

He was ready to do it again the next day, Seitz said.

“Hudson is such a great kid with a big heart,” she added.

Christian Doll passed away Friday, his family said.

However, all money raised through the fundraiser that didn’t go to support the family will be donated to the Foothills Hospital Foundation and Ronald McDonald House.
