Alan Hyland, former Cypress-Redcliff MLA and Bow Island mayor, dies

Alan Hyland has died at the age of 78.
Hyland was the MLA for Cypress from 1975-1986 and Cypress-Redcliff from 1986-1993.
He was also the mayor of the Town of Bow Island in 1971 and 1998-2010, as well as councillor from 1971-1974, 2010-2021.
The Town of Bow Island released a statement saying they are saddened to report the passing of former MLA, mayor and councillor Hyland.
