“We’re busy, busy, busy,” Stampede general manager Ron Edwards told anchor Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon on Monday.

“”To get it right there’s lot of work to do but we want people to be excited when come on the grounds,” he added.

“It’s a lot of work, but at the end of the day there’s lots of rewards.”

Medicine Hat’s Stampede is over a century old, with the first exhibition held in 1887.

Now, it brings in thousands of people to the grounds in the city’s southeast end every year.

Like years past, the Stampede will feature a professional rodeo, several grandstand night shows and fireworks, among many other activities and various entertainment options.

Free pancake breakfasts are back and taking place throughout the week. Also, the parade returns on Thursday morning downtown Medicine Hat.
