Jul 5, 2024 | 10:21 AM

Kylie Masse, Mary-Sophie Harvey, Josh Liendo and Jeremy Bagshaw have been named the four captains of Canada’s Olympic swimming team.

Swimming Canada made the announcement Friday morning, saying captains’ duties will involve leading team-building activities, hosting swimmer meetings, and serving as a link between swimmers and Swimming Canada leadership staff.

Masse is a four-time Olympic medallist set to compete at her third Games. The 28-year-old from Lasalle, Ont., won three medals (two silver, one bronze) at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Liendo and Harvey are making their second appearances at the Games.

Toronto’s Liendo, 21, has won four world championship medals (two silver, two bronze) in 2022 and 2023. Harvey, 24, of Trois-Rivières, Que., was a member of the fourth-place 4×200-metre team at the Tokyo Olympics.

Victoria’s Bagshaw, 32, will be making his first Olympic appearance.
