Halo Air Ambulance looking for support during final week of Cattle Er’ Cash Lottery

Jun 25, 2024 | 4:26 PM

Halo Air Ambulance is looking for additional support in the final week of the organization’s third annual Cattle Er’ Cars lottery.

The grand prize is $62,500 dollars in cattle, cars or cash with additional prizes available.

In a post on the X platform, Halo said it was nearly $25,000 away from matching last years lottery totals of over $170,000.

Halo CEO Paul Carolan said Tuesday the gap has been narrowed closer to $15,000.

Carolan added that it’s important to be able to continue to grow this lottery with it making up about eight per cent of Halo’s annual fundraising effort.

“Having the different streams of funding makes a big difference to us, and not only relying on those in-person pieces,” Carolan told CHAT News.

“I think the other thing is, for people too, is this is both a chance to support the program and perhaps win. It’s almost a lottery where it’s win-win, right? If you don’t win, you still supported Halo. If you do win, it’s a great thing for you too.”

Tickets are available online through Halo Air Ambulance’s website starting at $75 for the Cash Er’ Cattle draw.

A bonus 50/50 draw, is being held in addition to the lottery, already at over $60,000 for the split jackpot with tickets starting at $10, also available online.

Ticket sales close at the end of the day Friday, June 28 with the grand prize draw around noon on Saturday, June 29.
