“For this season, we’re just going to do the one this year. That’s the only availability Athletic and Jefferies had,” Duchscherer said.

“I think going forward, maybe split the home games between Richmound and Medicine Hat here because we have quite a few guys coming out of Medicine Hat, and it’s good to support them too,” he added.

“Sask-Alta league, I’m pretty proud of it, and we’ll keep the Richmound Rockets going, we’re excited to be playing on the Mavericks field tonight.”

The Rockets have started the season with a win and two loses, while their opponents Friday night, the Climax Cardinals, won their only other game played this season on Thursday night over the Maple Creek Mohawks 12-5.

The game is free to attend, and is under the lights at Athletic Park on Friday, June 7 starting at 8 p.m.
