Medicine Hat Tigers 2024-25 Home Opener announced

The Medicine Hat Tigers will kick off its 2024-2025 season by hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings in September.

The Sept. 21 matchup will mark the first time the Tigers have hosted the Oil Kings for a home opener since 2008.

The Western Hockey League announced each team’s home opening game for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday.

The Tigers will next year aim to improve on last year’s 37-win, 82-point season which put the Tigers in fourth place in the Eastern Conference before losing in five games inin the first round to the Red Deer Rebels.

A 2024 WHL preseason schedule and complete regular season schedule for 2024-25 will be announced the week of June 24.
