Severe thunderstorm warning ends for Cypress County near Redcliff

A severe thunderstorm warning issued for an area of Cypress County, Bowell Redcliff has since ended.

In a rare occurence, the warning was issued only for this region. There were no other watches or warnings elsewhere in Alberta.

The thunderstorm is located 20 kilometres west of Medicine Hat and is moving southeast at 40 kilometres per hour.

Environment Canada meteorologists say they were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail.
