Free-to-enter Spectrum Festival starts Friday

The free-to-enter Spectrum Festival gets underway at Kin Coulee Park on Friday.

From live music entertainment, a beer tent and bouncy castles for kids, the event remains inclusive and community-focused, festival president Bill Woolmer said.

“This year our main goal was to make sure that everybody could come attend,” Woolmer told CHAT News.

The 2024 Spectrum Festival will also feature the most of amount of food trucks its ever had, Woolmer said.

Broadband and Warehouse Cats will headline the “Coulchella” live entertainment stage.

Gates open for the festival at 4 p.m. Friday. Over the weekend, the festival starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

From May 31 to June 2, the park will be open for the festival events and accessible by foot only, the City of Medicine Hat said.

Public parking will be available in the dirt lot across College Avenue and the Municipal Works building on Kipling Street.

Portable washrooms facilities will be available all weekend. However, the washrooms at the Band Shell will be closed.
