The Women in Business Committee will hand out the award at their annual Inspire Luncheon.
Annie Anderson, an Integrative Energy Therapist from the Psynergy Centre was one of the nominees.
“I got an email just out of the blue a few weeks ago and I was actually shocked when I got it. I was happy that I was sitting down,” said Anderson, when asked how she found out about her nomination.
Anderson worked in western medicine for almost 20 years in EMS and has helped wounded paramedics affected with PTSD.
She then moved into Eastern Medicine and started the Energy Medicine Clinic in 2019.
The award she is nominated for recognizes female community members who have gone above and beyond to mentor, encourage and inspire others.
Anderson hopes she has and can continue to inspire Hatters to take charge of their healing journey.
“Just being recognized for what I’ve been trying to accomplish here would be very, very powerful,” Anderson said.
An independent review committee picks the 2024 Inspire Award Winner, which will be announced on June 7.
