Study finds Alberta to be the fourth happiest Canadian province

A new study revealed Alberta as the fourth happiest Canadian province.

The study conducted by Lucky Days, a gambling website looked at eight quality of life metrics, compiling information from various government reports and assigning each category a ranking out of 10.

These categories included life satisfaction, median annual family income, unemployment risk, perceived health, perceived mental health, violent crime rate and air quality.

Alberta finished top place in median annual family income and last for air quality and had an overall happiness score of 4.73.

The happiest place to live was Quebec with an 8.63 rating.

Saskatchewan finished last place of the 10 provinces with a score of 3.27.

  • life expectancy, 5.87 (5th)

  • air quality, 0 (10th)
