The pool will also be undergoing maintenance this summer, shutting down from May until September. Crestwood Pool and Hill Pool will be open with extended hours, and if weather permits, Echo Dale will open two weeks earlier.

“It’s critical. When you start deferring maintenance and issues, they will build up at some point and that’s when you hear about those catastrophic failures and stuff like that,” Richter said.
“The city is really good at getting ahead of these things and making sure the quality of water and the quality of the ice is enjoyable and safe for the public.”
