Medicine Hat Interpretive Program holding ‘Pokémon GO’ nature walk at Police Point Park

Apr 1, 2024 | 2:43 PM

“Catch them all” while learning about the real environment around you.

That’s the pitch given by organizers of the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program‘s Pokémon GO Nature Walk.

Attendees to the free event will be able to play Pokémon GO — an augmented reality mobile game based on a major franchise based around animal-like creatures with powers — while learning about the nature that makes up Police Point Park.

The walk will get underway at 1 p.m. on April 13 at Police Point Park.

Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather, organizers said.

The walk will be about an hour and a half and it will go ahead rain or shine.
