Brooks Bandits forward Logan Sawyer named BCHL Alberta division player of the week

Brooks Bandits forward Logan Sawyer has been named the BC Hockey League Alberta Division Player of the Week, while forwards Danylo Korzhyletskyi and Parker Lalonde received Honourable Mentions.

Sawyer (Orangeville, ON) scored six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in two games during the week of March 4th to 10th.

His week began by scoring two goals, including the overtime winner, and one assist in the Bandits 7-6 win over the Oilers in Okotoks on March 8th. He followed that performance with a three point (1 goal, two assist) performance on March 9th in the Bandits 9-2 win over the Blackfalds Bulldogs.

Sawyer has 73 points (32 goals, 41 assists) in 51 games this season. He has 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in 12 BCHL games this season, which is the most amongst all first-year players in the BC Alberta Division.

The NHL Draft eligible forward is committed to Providence College.

He joins Mirko Buttazzoni (February 19th to 25th) and Nathan Free (February 12th to 18th) to be named the BC Alberta Division Player of the Week.

Bandits forwards Danylo Korzhyletskyi (Kyiv, UA) and Parker Lalonde (Aberdeen, SK) both received Honourable Mentions. Korzhyletskyi had 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist), while Lalonde scored 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists).
