Alberta invests $3.85 million to support medical first responders
Medical first responders across Alberta will be better supported in their efforts to keep people safe, the government said Wednesday.
Alberta has announced $3.85 million in funding, which Health Minister Adriana LaGrange said will help to improve the quality of emergency care.
“Medical first responders are unsung heroes and often the first on the scene of an emergency, particularly in remote areas where access to immediate care is limited,” LaGrange said.
“Their swift intervention can mean the difference between life and death while waiting for EMS services,” she added.
