RCMP investigating fatal collision on Highway 3

COALHURST, AB – The RCMP in southern Alberta is investigating a fatal collision

At around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, the Coaldale RCMP and surrounding agencies responded to a serious collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 3 between Range Road 224 and Township Road 92.

On arrival, police said the victim, a 31-year-old woman from Standoff, was declared deceased.

The area was closed off during the initial response, but has since reopened.

The RCMP said although the investigation is in its early stages, driver impairment does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
