Medicine Hat, AB – A 36-year-old Redcliff man is facing a number of charges connected to break-and-enters and thefts in Saskatchewan.

Back in July, Leader and Kindersley RCMP began investigating break-ins at businesses believed to be related. Two ATM machines were among the larger items stolen. Both ATM machines were located by police but had no cash left inside.

Earlier this fall, Leader RCMP charged a man in connection to the break-ins and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Nov. 19, police found a vehicle reported as stolen from Unity parked outside a business in Kindersley. An adult male was arrested near by and it was determined he was the man wanted by Leader RCMP.

Kindersley RCMP then executed a search warrant in Kindersley. Tool along with a trailer that had been stolen were seized. Officers have returned some of the items to their owners and are working to return further items.

The man is facing the following charges:

– one count, break and enter, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code;

– one count, break, enter and commit, Section 348(1)(b)(e), Criminal Code;

– two counts, theft over $5,000, Section 334(1)(a), Criminal Code;

– two counts, theft under $5,000, Section 334(1)(b), Criminal Code;

– three counts, mischief over $5,000, Section 430(3), Criminal Code;

– one count, knowingly use a forged document, Section 368(1), Criminal Code;

– three counts, possession of stolen property under $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;

He appeared in Kindersley Provincial Court on Thursday.

Leader and Kindersley RCMP continue to investigate. Members of the public who may have information about these or any other crime are asked to contact your local RCMP detachment.
