Medicine Hat, AB–On Monday, Medicine Hat City Council made changes to the Electric Utility Bylaw.
Effective November 1st, electrical rates will be set every three months based on the wholesale price. A cap on rates means they will between 7 and 11 cents per kwh during the interim period.
This interim measure is being implemented to provide further relief on utility costs while a review of COMCO is being completed.
Mayor Linnsie Clark joined Dan Reynish on the CHAT TV News at Noon Tuesday to talk more about the change.
