Richmound holding peaceful rally to protest presence of Qanon “Queen of Canada”

Medicine Hat, AB–Residents of the small Saskatchewan village of Richmound are planning peaceful protests this weekend.

Residents are upset by the presence of Romana Didulo who calls herself the “Queen of Canada”. Didulo has been staying at a former school in the village for about a month after being ran out of Kamsack, Saskatchewan.

Elected officials in Richmound are among those who have been threatened with public execution if they defy Didulo’s decrees.

RCMP confirmed they have received a number of calls for service including a report of assault, report of threats, and suspicious persons” since Didulo arrived. Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, RCMP set up a temporary mobile detachment that is being staffed 24/7.

According to a post on Mayor Brad Miller’s Facebook Page earlier this week, “things are escalating and the village is desperate for help with another protest rally to keep Didulo from setting into permanent residency in the town.

The post calls for people from neighbouring communities to join the town in a respectful, legal, demonstration on Saturday from Noon to 7 pm and Sunday from Noon to 5 pm.

According to the post, Didulo’s group may be holding a “meet and greet” on Saturday. Those attending the rally are being instructed not to trespass on the former school property which is fenced off.

The goal of the protest is not to engage but rather irritate the group in hopes they will move on.
