Ruptured natural gas line leads to condo evacuation

MEDICINE HAT — City firefighters were called after a natural gas line was accidentally broken inside a condo in southwest Medicine Hat.

It happened just before 11 pm in the 100 block of Sunrise Way S.W.

Adjoining units were evacuated and city utility crews turned off the gas.

All units were ventilated and residents were allowed to return home once the danger was passed, after about 2 hours time.
