FORT MACLEOD, AB – Charges have been laid against four youths in connection with an incident at Fort Macleod’s Empress Theatre.

The RCMP said that on Aug. 26 at about 8:30 p.m., police responded to a case of mischief at the venue where a Fort Macleod Pride event was taking place.

The investigation found that four suspects threw fisher and marten lure oil in the building, which the RCMP said caused “a very foul smell”.

The four have each been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and have been released for youth court at the Alberta Court of Justice on Dec. 15.
