Two people injured in Highway 1 crash

DUNMORE, AB — Two people were taken to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with unknown injuries following a collision on the Trans Canada Highway east of Dunmore last night.

The mishap involved a tractor-trailer and another vehicle.

Investigators determined the tractor-trailer, which was travelling south on Highway 41, failed to stop before entering the intersection and colliding with a second vehicle.

Medicine Hat firefighters assisted Cypress County EMS at the crash scene, which was at the intersection of the Trans Canada highway and Highway 41 north at around 10 p.m.

The extent of injuries is not known. Redcliff RCMP did issue a ticket to the driver of the tractor-trailer for failing to stop at a stop sign.
