Rattlers women’s hockey team releases schedule; MHC teams holding open tryouts

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat College Rattlers women’s hockey team will host the NAIT Ooks and the SAIT Trojans to break the ice on their first official season in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

The team released its 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday.

The Rattlers welcome the Ooks on Oct. 7 and the Trojans the following day. After a couple of weekends on the road the defending ACAC champion Red Deer Polytechnic Queens on Oct. 27-28.

The full home schedule is below. All home games will be at the Moose Rec Centre.

The Rattlers also announced open tryouts this week for its teams. You must be a registered MHC student to attend any of the sessions.

Women’s Soccer – Aug. 30 at 5:30-6:30 p.m. (MHC Soccer Field)

Men’s Soccer – Aug. 30 at 6:30-7:30 p.m. (MHC Soccer Field)

Women’s Hockey – Aug. 30 at 9:15-10:30 p.m., Aug. 31 at 2:30-3:45 p.m. (both at Big Marble Go Centre)

Men’s and Women’s Golf – Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. (Desert Blume Golf Course)

Men’s Volleyball – Aug. 31 at 4-5 p.m. (MHC Gymnasium)

Cross Country Running – Aug. 31 at 6:15 p.m., Sept. 5 at 5 p.m., Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. (meet at the main MHC Entrance)

Men’s Basketball – Sept. 5 at 5:30-7 p.m. (MHC Gymnasium)

Women’s Basketball – Sept. 6 at 5:30-7 p.m. (MHC Gymnasium)
