MEDICINE HAT, AB – One game will decide who is the 2023 Western Canadian Baseball League champion.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks handed the Okotoks Dawgs their first loss of the post-season on Wednesday to keep their season alive. The Mavs’ 12-9 win at Athletic Park sets up a winner-take-all game three in the championship series on Thursday in Okotoks.

The Mavericks put four on the board in the first inning and led 11-2 after the fourth. The Dawgs chipped away at the lead but couldn’t complete the comeback.
