CFSEA releases Endowment Building Toolkit

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Not-for-profits and charities in Alberta can tap into a new resource to help them establish an endowment fund.

Last year the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta (CFSEA) received grant funding from the province’s Civil Society Fund for The Endowment Building for Sustainability Project.

The toolkit was tested in the field and now is available free at cfsea.ca, according to a news release.

CFSEA will host a training session this fall for groups that want to learn more about how they can benefit from an agency endowment fund.

Currently, CFSEA works with more than 20 agencies that have established endowment funds in the region. Such a fund provides organizations a simple and efficient way to build capacity and sustainability, says CFSEA.
