LAKE LOUSIE, AB – Banff and Jasper National Parks are home to some of the country’s most magical destinations.

That is according to a new report from BonusFinder Canada, which sought to see which destinations in Canada are the most “magical” and “enchanted.”

To do this, the organization looked how many times people tagged a location using Instagram hashtags as well as the number of mentions of “magic/magical,” “enchanting,” and “majestic” on TripAdvisor to come up with overall scores out of 10.

With a score of 9.4 out of 10, Lake Louise came in at second place with 1,100,000 Instagram hashtags, the most out of all destinations that were included in the report.

BonusFinder Canada wrote in its report about Lake Lousie, “its dazzling turquoise blue waters set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains which evokes deep emotions and a sense of wonder to those who visit. Its sparkling jewel-like appearance was said to originate from the urban legend, told by a waiter who worked at the château, that the lake was drained and painted every spring.”

The lake had far fewer TripAdvisor mentions than first place Niagara Falls, however.

Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park was the 10th most magical destination in Canada with a score of 6.8.

At 12th place, scored 6.2 out of 10, was Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park, while the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park was the 14th highest rated at 5.3.

Niagara Falls, Ontario topped the list with a score of 9.6 out of 10.
