Three Tigers on Hockey Canada’s radar for U17 Challenge
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A trio of Medicine Hat Tigers have been selected for Hockey Canada Program of Excellence meetings ahead of the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Forwards Hayden Harsanyi. Kadon McCann and Gavin McKenna received invites to the meetings and will vie for a spot representing Canada at the U17 Challenge.
Regina Pats vice-president of hockey operations and general manager Alan Millar, who oversaw the meetings as Hockey Canada director of player personnel, says it’s a chance for prospective national team players to be introduced to the Program of Excellence and help prepare them for international competition.
Players will be evaluated early in the 2023-24 season before the U17 Challenge takes place in Prince Edward Island in November.
