MEDICINE HAT, AB – Being safe on the river just might earn you a cool treat when you get out of the water.
Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services and RJ’s Convenience Store have partnered to give free slurpees to people who show a commitment to river safety.
When you’re on the river with your personal flotation device, otherwise known as a life jacket, and see a firefighter, say hi and you might get a free slurpee coupon for RJ’s.
On any given day dozens of people float, kayak and boat along the South Saskatchewan River.
