REDCLIFF, AB — Two Brooks residents are facing charges after Mounties in Brooks and Redcliff completed an investigation into an ongoing property crime spree in the southeast.

Two stolen trucks and three stolen trailers were recovered from a rural property near Redcliff on July 5.

Another holiday trailer stolen out of Dunmore and a truck stolen from Taber were also recovered as a result of the investigation.

Investigating officers had to dodge a stolen truck as the suspects drove through a fence while escaping the property on July 5.

The pair were eventually arrested on July 11 near Raymond, with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, RCMP Air Services, RCMP Police Dog Services and the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit.

Both suspects remain in custody and both have prior convictions for similar offences.
